“Buffalo Zine is back and as beautiful as ever. The Catalogue Issue is a glorious celebration of material reality, of everything from photography to fashion, household products to perfume. To celebrate the launch of their issue, they’re also launching a shop, featuring 20 products, made in collaboration with everyone from Martin Parr to Christopher Shannon, along with their own perfume, Aqua di Buffalo.”

“Issue four is a delight, featuring seven different covers (each a piss-take/throwback that sends up fashion mags of yesteryear), a focus on the concept of desire, as well as an interview in which the iconic artist Jeff Koons goes shopping in Berlin with the luxurious Gloria, Princess of Thurn and Taxis. Its masthead reads like a who’s who of European photographers and stylists, and the content is thought-provoking and humorous, wavering from sardonic style guides to conversations between modern philosophers.”

Vice

“The cult mag’s fourth issue rebelliously takes the piss out of women’s glossies and their rampant consumerism all while having a right old laugh. Visually inspired by 80s catalogues and low-end gossip mags, you’ll find enough celebration and critique of material things to shake a perfume bottle at. Erik Kessels and Michael Landy discuss advertising in Tesco, filmmaker Frédéric Beigbeder and philosopher Yann Dall’aglio deconstruct Tinder, and Oliviero Toscani lifts the lid on his iconic campaigns – André Leon Talley even makes an appearance. Buffalo 4 also offers some very important life lessons such as “How to look fab on one income”, as well as some sidesplitting OTT adverts for products the Buffalo gang made up in collab with creative greats including Martin Parr.”
